Avon Scam Review - Is Avon A Scam Or Legit?

We already know that Avon is not a scam.  Any company that has been around for well over a century can not possibly be a scam.  However, this does not mean that Avon will be the best fit for you.  This is the information that I intend to provide to you in my Avon Review.  First, a little history.

In 1886, Mr. David McConnell was a door to door salesman who was passing out free perfume to ladies in hopes that they would purchase his books.  He soon found out that his perfume was a hotter commodity than his books, and started the California Perfume Company.  In 1939, this company would be known as the popular Avon.  Avon, being one of the most prominent MLM business opportunities, now has over 5 million sales representatives.

As you are probably aware, Avon markets fragrances, cosmetics, skin care products, and jewelry with both women and men in mind.  They have now expanded into the childrens toy market.

The cost to join Avon is $10.  For this price, you will receive a kit which contains basic business essentials, and 10 brochures for distribution to assist you in your first 2 sales campaigns.  Avon gives you the option to sell their products both in person and online.

As you achieve sales in your business, you will receive retail profit commissions.  Your commissions will range from 20% to 50% of all sales volumes in your business.  For volumes below $145, you can expect to see a 20% commission.  For volumes above $1550, you can expect to see 50%.

You can also receive compensation based on your ability to recruit new Avon representatives into your downline.  This gives you the ability to receive bonuses based on your downline's production, giving you that ever needed passive income.

This is where you decide if Avon is for you!

As a representative of Avon, you will be encouraged to pursue your small network of family and friends to achieve sales, and recruit new members.  Avon's marketing training is limited to these methods.  Prior to joining Avon, you need to decide if this is truly how you want to build a business.  Statistics show that 97% of those who participate in a MLM opportunity like Avon, and only use these methods will fail.  This is because people are not taught how to effectively market their business outside of their warm market.  People are finding that hosting home parties, and conducting product shows are not the best use of their time and efforts.

With that being said, Avon is a very legitimate company, and many people have created successful Avon businesses from scratch using the methods that they train.  You will have access to great products, and everyone knows Avon.  This will give you the ability to quickly legitimize yourself with those around you.  If you believe that you have what it takes to create a successful business based on the practices that Avon teaches, then Avon is a great business opportunity to participate in.  If you are looking for a business that will train you how to effectively utilize more proven methods of marketing to improve your chances of success, then you will need to keep looking.
