To become truly great at creating a music mix, I would suggest you first figure out how music mixing software actually works so you can get the most out of whichever program you choose to use. 1. To begin, choose the audio files to be mixed, take a moment to think of what kind of sound you want to end up (or what song you want to freshen up the lyrics or beat)...

4. Pick one track and set that one at a reasonable volume, but not too loud. You want to be able to listen the other sounds as you slowly bring them into the mix. After this, you can find the right level for each with small adjustments then play all the elements together and see what you have created...

5. Keep testing until your mix is perfect. You will probably want to go back and be making adjustments as you add more elements. Relax, there is no rush. Have fun! You are creating your own unique sound!

All finished? Give your song a good listening to all the way through a good number of times. Get your friends to listen as well. Sleep on it too. Then, add the changes you think it needs. By the time you are finished, your song may be different than what you originally imagined, but still a masterpiece.

Once you are totally satisfied with the result, your new track is ready to be produced!
