Michael Jackson's unforgettable contributions and everlasting legacy to the world of music and the world in general will always endure as time itself.
His love for humanity was unparalleled, he was an icon for all ages and for him time will always stand still. He blessed, inspired and touched millions of people across the world with the extraordinary great life he was blessed with.
He is indeed undoubtedly one of the greatest men in history.
He is blessed with the spirit of the world's greatest, divinely inspired by the will to become a blessing to the entire human race and become a reference point to all generations.
Few understood him but God knew the great reason he created him.
His love for children and the entire human race is unparalleled. He knew from his hearts of hearts that children are wonderful souls, they are Angels in our midst, candidates of Heaven and one of God's greatest gifts to the world. He poured out his heart to love all and he truly gave his best to the world.
The change in the colour of his skin was not to deny the black race for that was the great root from which he sprang from but to stand as a gap, as a bridge between the black race and white race to tell the people of the world that there is true love and great blessing in unity.
His name time can never erase nor his legacy be forgotten as long as the earth lives.
He has undoubtedly left an indelible footprint in the sand of time and the world shall continue to enjoy his music for many years to come.
MICHAEL JACKSON: THE WORLD STILL MISS YOU
In loving memory of Michael Jackson
Amongst many
You were called
Amongst millions
You were chosen
You rose to the call
To answer the glorious call of Humanity
And like a rainbow
You touched many lives
With your beauty
You were sent
To make the world better than you met it
You stood like a bridge
Across ages and races
You were like a pillar
In the great world of music and beyond
Like a miracle
Your greatness will stand for all times
From the very foundations of the world
Your great name was meant to last for many generations
Let it be known
That the love you shared with the world
Is incredible
The joy you brought to many
Is unspeakable
And many lives you touched
Still unbelievable
MICHAEL JACKSON
The King of Pop
Even thou you've gone

God Bless You, Dr. Kevorkian $11.95 From Slapstick's "Turkey Farm" to Slaughterhouse-Five's eternity in a Tralfamadorean zoo cage with Montana Wildhack, the question of the afterlife never left Kurt Vonnegut's mind. In God Bless You, Dr. Kevorkian, Vonnegut skips back and forth between life and the Afterlife as if the difference between them were rather slight. In thirty odd "interviews," Vonnegut trips down "the blue tunnel to the pearly gates" in the guise of a roving reporter for public radio, conducting interviews: with Salvatore Biagini, a retired construction worker who died of a heart attack while rescuing his schnauzer from a pit bull, with John Brown, still smoldering 140 years after his death by hanging, with William Shakespeare, who rubs Vonnegut the wrong way, and with socialist and labor leader Eugene Victor Debs, one of Vonnegut's personal heroes. What began as a series of ninety-second radio interludes for WNYC, New York City's public radio station, evolved into this provocative collection of musings about who and what we live for, and how much it all matters in the end. From the original portrait by his friend Jules Feiffer that graces the cover, to a final entry from Kilgore Trout, God Bless You, Dr. Kevorkian remains a joy. |

Goodbye Cobber, God Bless You $4.54 On August 7th, 1915, men of the 3rd Light Horse Brigade staged one of the most tragic, brave and futile charges of the First World War. Seeking to break out of the Anzac position at Gallipoli, they attempted to storm an extraordinarily strong Turkish position, defended by artillery, machine guns and thousands of men, using nothing but fixed bayonets and raw courage. The first wave of Light Horsemen were killed within seconds of leaving their trench, yet over the course of the next few minutes, three more lines went over the top, across the bodies of their dead and dying comrades, only to be instantly cut down themselves. All of them knew they were about to die. None held back. It was a massacre immortalised in Peter Weir's film, Gallipoli. Just before the order was given to send the third line, Trooper Harold Rush turned to his mate standing next to him and said "Goodbye cobber. God bless you". These words appear on his headstone, in the little cemetery near the scene of the charge. John Hamilton's book follows the men who fought and died in this action, from the recruiting frenzy of August 1914, to their training camps, to Egypt, to the peninsula itself, to that fatal morning. It is a work of meticulous research and detail, which puts flesh on the bones of long dead men and boys. We see through their eyes the excitement, fear and horror of a generation encountering the carnage of modern war for the first time. Goodbye Cobber, God Bless You is compelling, personal and painfully moving. |
