Forget The Eggs – Get An Easter Basket Instead

What is the first thing you think of when Easter rolls around?  That’s an easy question to answer – chocolate!

But why go for the traditional Easter eggs all the time when you could buy something that is more unusual, more enjoyable and can bring the whole family together as well?

An Easter gift basket is one of the best ways to celebrate this time of year.  It’s also a good bet if you have several people in your household with a sweet tooth, as there will be plenty to dig into for everyone who walks by.  An Easter basket works well because it is welcoming and it can even provide a stunning centrepiece for a seasonal meal.

Just imagine setting your table for the whole family to eat and then placing a treat filled Easter basket in the middle.  No matter how good the main meal itself is, you can be sure that everyone will be looking forward to the taste of chocolate they will get after dessert!

When we think about gift baskets we usually think of buying them to treat an individual person, or perhaps a couple if it is for an anniversary or wedding gift.  But in actual fact the whole nature of a holiday gift basket lends itself very well to sharing, and what better occasion to treat the whole family to one than Easter, when everyone tends to get together anyway?

But we recommend you buy a nice big Easter basket, otherwise you could find yourself running dry on chocolate very quickly!  Those small individual Easter eggs that you’ll find scattered inside them don’t tend to last very long once the children – or do we mean the adults? – get their hands on them!

Of course some people still like to give each other individual eggs, but we think a huge basket that everyone can share is a much nicer way to end a family meal on Easter Sunday itself.  And one of the best parts of this type of gift is that there is a wide range of chocolate treats inside.  You won’t just get one chocolate egg with a few chocolate buttons inside, for example.  You will get small eggs, a chocolate bunny, some fine individual chocolates as well, and much more besides.

It is this versatility that makes a basket the best choice for a family Easter celebration – and if you order more than one you could use the contents of one for an Easter Egg Hunt in the garden as well.  Hide the eggs for the children and the other chocolates for the grown ups… after all, who doesn’t love the excitement of an Easter Egg Hunt?  And it will certainly help you to perk up your appetite before the feast you have planned for the evening.

So don’t assume that any kind of gift basket is only suitable to give to one or two people.  In the right setting it can be a delightful surprise for the whole family too.
