When you visit your local bridal store or an online wedding favors site, you will be swamped by various wedding favors available. While all seem cute and appropriate for almost every type of wedding, choosing just a single favor can be difficult.

There are generally 3 major considerations when choosing your wedding favors:

1. Number of wedding favors needed and your budget - By finalizing first the number of favors you need, you will get to see if the budget you have will be enough for the favors. If the number of your intended guests fits your budget, you can choose the wedding favors that you want. However, if you have, for example, a budget for 50 people, yet you come up with a list of 80 people, it's either you adjust your budget, adjust the number of favors, or reduce the amount you spend on each favor. Based on your budget and the number of guests attending, you can create a list of favors that you can afford.

2. Theme of your wedding - Generally, your wedding favors should follow the theme of your wedding so the whole wedding, from start to finish, will look coordinated. Your guests will be totally immersed in the theme (e.g. golf bag key chains for a golf themed wedding or flip flops for a beach wedding) as every detail has been given time and effort.

3. Time of your wedding - If you have a seasonal wedding, you may want to choose a favor depending on the season, also for both consistency and convenience. If your wedding is during the winter, getting snow globe paperweight favors or edible favors such as chestnuts may be easier than finding these items during a spring wedding.

While the color and the type of favor are also other considerations, you can play with these factors. The favor you are considering may not be the exact color that you want, but if you can change some of the table decorations or the wedding theme to match, then maybe you can make it work. You may also find that the wedding favor that you wanted to get may be out of budget and opt for a cheaper alternative instead.

And afterwards, no matter how you pack it or how you present it, the favor you choose based on the 3 considerations above will make your guests happy and you and your spouse as well. The wedding favors seem perfect and your wedding budget and choices are right on track.
