Tiffany & Co. introduced its 2010 collection, the company said. The collections were inspired by bright colors and contain gems work of designers Jean Schlumberger, Paloma Picasso, Elsa Peretti and Frank Gehry.
The collection includes original yellow diamonds from the mine Gem Diamonds' Ellendale in Australia. Gem Diamonds signed an agreement to provide yellow diamonds to Tiffany in 2009.
The diamonds were cut in the collections on the basis of a modified cushion cut derived from the famous 128.54 carat Tiffany diamond to maximize the color of natural stones, Tiffany said. The diamonds are set in pendants, necklaces, rings and bracelets with yellow and white diamonds in platinum and 18k gold.
The designs of the collections are inspired by the Tiffany archives, such as the Garland style of late 19th century, which inspired diamond earrings drop bay leaves and delicate flowers. Tiffany Garden Collection
offers floral brooches, colorful flowers and precious stones and diamonds bees and dragonflies. In addition, the classic bow and butterfly motifs of the Art Deco era to find a new expression in diamond brooches and bracelets of diamonds and sapphires.
