Your organization isn't a nonliving entity. It is populated with people of different minds and these are the people who run it. As such, your organization is very much human and it has a definite organizational culture of its own. It is this culture that defines it and creates an impression about it in the minds of those who know your organization, including your business clients. Hence, as a key leader in your organization, it becomes important for you to keep track of what's happening. These are the five important traits that you must make sure your organization possesses.
Focus
Every member without your organization needs to be focused. This is certainly a perfect situation and though you should not expect every member of your organization to be completely and singularly focused, you should work in that direction. It helps if your leaders are motivating and encouraging. It is good if the right incentives are provided to your team members. That helps them to concentrate on what's happening.
Clarity of Goals
Your leaders should always ensure that they clearly define the goals that need to be accomplished. This is actually what builds focus. Once your team knows what they are supposed to do, they can do it better.
Accept Individual Opinions and Ideas
This creates dynamism within your organization. The sense of loyalty among team members is also strengthened. Everyone feels that they are contributing something towards the success of the company.
Good Interpersonal Relationships
These must be reinforced within each team of your organization and across all the different teams as well. When people work with camaraderie, elegant courage automatically blossoms. The organization as a whole seems to work at its maximum potential in a highly driven manner. It is also important that good relationships exist between leaders and their team members as well.
Upward Growth
This is the hallmark of a really happening organizational culture. Every member must be sure that they have the potential to grow if they can do the right things. Promotions must be frequently given to deserving members. These act as incentives for all members and they are driven to work at their highest potential.
