The musical instrument, the piano was invented about 500 years ago and people from all over the world enjoy playing the wonderful instrument. There are all types of pianos and keyboards that people play says an owner of a grand piano cover and grand piano covers business. Some of the better known pianists that entered the rock and roll era brought the piano to life in the 1950's like Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard. Another great performer; is Ray Charles singer and pianist, who is a blind musician who had an instant connection to the piano as a child.
Jerry Lee Lewis was born in 1929 and is known as one of the best rock and roll and country musicians. He was from a poor family in Louisiana who mortgaged their farm to be able to afford a piano for him since he started playing as a young boy with his two cousins. He struggled in his personal life having been married six times and caused a scandal when he married his 13 year old second cousin that stopped his career for a decade. His piano playing ability finally won out though and he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the 80's and is best known for the song, Great Balls of Fire.
Little Richard was best known for making the transition of rhythm and blues to rock and roll in the 1950's bringing that kind of music to the masses. His energy on stage was unbelievable as he played the piano so quickly and frantically while singing and sometimes yelling his vocals with as much excitement. At the top of his fame he quit and decided to pursue being a minister after becoming a born again Christian. He bounced back and forth between the two areas until he figured out a way to blend them both in his life. He has received more awards than can be counted including the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and his piano playing influenced many artists to come.
Ray Charles combined rhythm and blues with gospel and blues to create soul music. He started to lose his sight at the age of 5 and was totally blind by the age of 7 from an untreated eye infection. He developed his musical talent at a school for blind and deaf children in Florida. When his mother died when he was 15, he did not go back to school but played in different bands and nightclubs to earn money. This is when he started to wear his signature sunglasses. He moved to Seattle where he got his first recording contract and signed with Atlantic records where he had instant success. He was named one of 100 Greatest Artists of all time by Rolling Stone magazine and greatly influenced future pianist stars like Billy Joel.
These three pianists and musicians will go down in history as some of the best that ever lived and ones that greatly influenced the music in America.
Connor R. Sullivan has purchased a couple of grand piano covers online at a discount for his church. He was very impressed with the quality of the grand piano cover he ordered online.

How Popular Musicians Learn $29.95 Popular musicians acquire some or all of their skills and knowledge informally, outside school or university, and with little help from trained instrumental teachers. How do they go about this process? Despite the fact that popular music has recently entered formal music education, we have as yet a limited understanding of the learning practices adopted by its musicians. Nor do we know why so many popular musicians in the past turned away from music education, or how young popular musicians today are responding to it.Drawing on a series of interviews with musicians aged between fifteen and fifty, Lucy Green explores the nature of pop musicians' informal learning practices, attitudes and values, the extent to which these altered over the last forty years, and the experiences of the musicians in formal music education. Through a comparison of the characteristics of informal pop music learning with those of more formal music education, the book offers insights into how we might re-invigorate the musical involvement of the population. |

The Really Awful Musicians (Hardcover) $27.28 All the musicians in the kingdom are awful, and the king is fed up.Music is banned, and he sends his men-at-arms to round up disobedient musicians and feed them to the royal crocodiles. Little Piffaro heads for the border, collecting an outlandish group of musicians on the way: one who plays fast, one who plays slow, one who plays loud, and so on.Their jam session on the road is so excruciating to listen to that Charlemagne, the horse pulling the wagon, invents a system to make sure they`re all playing the same music at the same time. There was a time before musical notation was devised, but that`s the only part of this story that is true. |
