Being unavailable for too long and making the guy chase you without the hope of getting you after all could easily put him off completely and then you'll lose him forever. So watch out as to how much to make yourself unavailable and how much to give in.

Broad your social contacts

You certainly should not show that you are missing your guy and are pining for him. Instead when he sees that you have a big circle of friends and contacts he will wake up to the fact that he might lose you if he doesn't pay you enough attention.

Do not respond to all his calls

It will certainly help you to avoid answering some of his calls. It will keep him wondering as to whether you are busy or ignoring him. And when you do answer his calls far and wide, he's bound to ask you the reason. Do not commit anything however.

Reminding him of you

Let your friends know of the recent good times you had at a certain gathering or get together and see that they communicate this bit of news to your guy. He will then begin to remember the good times you've had together and miss you. It helps to be unavailable at times.

Decline his invite

By now he will see that you have been avoiding him, so he will try to regain the attention you had given him. He will try inviting you to some place where you know your other friends will be going. Decline his invitation but go there with the others.

Take special care to dress attractively

When out with others remember to take special care and dress attractively. That will keep him wondering if there is someone else on the scene. Wear outfits and make up that are totally new to him. Even your hairdo should look different from what you used to do earlier.

Show him that you do not miss him

While you make yourself reasonably unavailable show him that you do not miss him. Be carefree and happy and that you can have a good time even without him. Once he sees that you can get along without him he will yearn for you and try to bring you back.

Play difficult to access

When he calls to fix a date do not give in too easily. Make it appear difficult for him to access you. Keep your meeting with him brief and slightly withheld so that he realizes that you can be unavailable to him, while he can miss you more than he feels capable of.
