Precious Moments Figurines Make Great Collectibles and Thoughtful Gifts

Since 1978, Precious Moments has been capturing the hearts of figurine collectors and devoted Christians around the world. Originally, twenty-one Precious Moments figurines were available to gauge the market and see what the public response would be to these figurines that are based on the artwork and faith of Sam Butcher. The response was so tremendous and people excitedly wrote to Butcher explaining how the Precious Moments collectibles have touched their lives and hearts. Not many figurines can truly do that!

Sam Butcher grew up drawing and making sketches of what would later turn out to be the blueprint for the Precious Moments 3-D figures we know and love today. These cute little figurines make wonderful gifts and special decor for the home. Since the 1970's, Sam Butcher's art work has gained in  popularity and is recognized worldwide as a symbol of Christian faith. Butcher's drawings were transformed into Precious Moments statues in late 1978. The figurines appeal to a wide range of ages, genders, and cultures and are also a pleasure to look at.

Now the Precious Moments collection includes over 1,500 unique pieces and statuettes; more pieces are added to the collection each year. The success of the line of Precious Moments collectibles continues to grow each and every year due to its huge fan base.

Precious Moments fans have even formed clubs to talk about and keep up with the latest news on new Precious Moments figurines. In 1989, a Precious Moments park was opened and now welcomes 400,000 fans each year.

In 2005 Precious Moments ensured its legacy by forming Precious Moments, Inc (PMI.) This new corporation has streamlined and expanded the vision for Precious Moments collectibles to turn into something even more special and reach even more people.
