Germ Guardian Ultrasonic Humidifiers offer the option of cool or warm mist in any environment there is. They are nearly silent in operation and work equally well in either small or large spaces. For the health and environmentally conscious, silver technology is applied to each model, meaning micro sized particles of silver are embedded in the 1.4 gallon reservoir. Ultrasonic vibrations tend to kill most microbes by invading and destroying cell walls. These humidifiers use high frequency sound waves to vibrate a metal diaphragm, which then breaks down the water into a micro-fine, cool fog. The mist is dispersed into the air by a small, silent fan. Also, the diaphragm is titanium plated in order to prevent corrosion, and the mist diffuser is made of nickel plated copper to prevent rust and water scale. This feature also effectively eliminates the growth of bacteria in the water and as well keeps the room from feeling too cold. The control display is digital with push buttons, which is highly advantageous for conveniently selecting settings. A digital clock is also built into the control display, along with a soft nightlight for super easy reading.
