Common Sizes available in Authentic Limoges Boxes and Figurines

When getting one of the many different authentic Limoges boxes or figurines that are out on the market it is a good idea to take a look at the sizes that can be available. This is something to see for more than just how the box or figurine is made. It is important to see because of how fragile one of these materials can be.

 

The main measurement that is going to be used for the size of a box or figurine is going to be its width. This is because of how all Limoges boxes can work with different space considerations. Some of the smaller of these boxes will be about one inch in its width. A larger type of box can be one that is going to be about three or four inches in width. This is a good space consideration to see when using this type of decorative item.

 

The height is a measurement that can easily vary. Some Limoges figurines will work with special types of molds that can be used to create different types of shapes. In many cases a figurine will be one that can be up to eight inches in height. This is a size that will be used as a means of making one of these materials easy for anyone to see. It will not be something that is going to dominate an entire area though.

 

Limoges porcelain boxes that do not have any projecting figurines on them can be tall as well. Many boxes are ones that will be four or five inches in height. Others can be only one or two inches tall. These boxes will be shorter because of how they will not be working with any well detailed designs outside of the paint jobs that they can feature.

 

The weight of a typical box or figurine is something to be aware of. In most cases a Limoges figuring will be one that is going to weight less than a pound. Some of the largest of these items that can be made available to the public will be ones that are about a pound in weight.

 

It will help to watch for these sizes because of how they are relatively small. This size consideration should be factored simply because of how smaller materials can be easily destroyed with very little effort. As a result of this factor it will help to be sure that a person keeps from going into extremes when handling a box or figurine.

 

The main thing to see about these materials is that a larger type of material is going to be more expensive. This comes from the added materials that were used to make the item. The added paints and maintenance costs of getting this to work also add to the cost of one of these items.

 

The sizes that are used for Limoges figurines and porcelain boxes are valuable things to see. These are small sizes that can come in a variety of forms.
