Why are you Misunderstood literary quotes
It is difficult to explain exactly why humans love quotes a lot, but they do. They choose to express their love for their favorite quotes on stickers, magnets, t-shirts or their Facebook pages, people seem to become incredibly attached to a particular line of cinema, literature or music and you want to use it to represent the world. But What if they do not really understand the quote?
People like to quote Robert Frost The Road Not Taken as a poem that the choice of champions "The Road Less Traveled ", or the life path more difficult, and often cite last line of the poem" I took the road less traveled by / and that has made all the difference. "It is common for people to use the poem in support of not taking the easy way, but if they paid attention to all the lines of the poem, he would have seen that Frost does decide that the two routes are "about the same" and he chose his way not because it looks more difficult, but because he has to choose one of them. The poem is supposed to be ironic, not great, but it is often misinterpreted.
Another often misinterpreted quote literary "Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?" It's a bit ironic that one of the most frequently repeated title = "Romeo and Juliet Quotes"> Romeo and Juliet quote is also one of the most misunderstood, but it's true. It is often used to mean "where are you Romeo?" However, "it why "is actually a synonym for" why "and not" where "and Juliet is, in fact, asking:" Why is your name Romeo (Montague)? "
Sometimes a quote is not necessarily misunderstood as it is for interpretation. One of the most convincing title = "Great Gatsby quote"> Great Gatsby quote is not from Gatsby himself, but from the story's narrator, Nick Carraway, "Everyone suspects at least one of the cardinal virtues, and this is mine: I am one of the few honest people I have ever known. "From the beginning of the novel, Nick is as a humble Midwest with good, solid values, and during the events of the novel offers little to contradict this, a discerning reader must wonder if Nick is actually a reliable narrator. When a novel is narrated by a third person omniscient narrator, the reader is often assumed that it is to know the facts without bias, but when the narrator is first person, recounting the events that occurred in his life, it is virtually impossible that it is 100% goal.
Mark Twain had the idea of the unreliable narrator and extended the notion of an author unreliable. It is difficult to take one Huckleberry Finn quotes at face value after the withdrawal, which included at the beginning of Twain's book, "You do not know about me without you have read a book written by the name of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, but it is not just book was made by Mr. Mark. Twain, and he told the truth, mainly. There were things he stretched, but mainly he told the truth. "This exclusion is told through the voice of Huck, but it is, of course, the intelligent spirit of Twain.
A great quote can express a thought or emotion that the reader did not even know she had, and is a great thing when a player is so moved by something in the literature that she wants to represent. She just needs to be sure she really understands.

Thou Art the Man $26.05 Ten years ago, a shocking murder cut short a blossoming romance between beautiful young heiress Sibyl Higginson and her cousin Brandon Mountford. When Mountford, an epileptic subject to seizures and memory loss, awakened near a bloody corpse, he was forced to escape to avoid execution for the crime. The years passed, nothing was heard of Mountford, and it was supposed he had either died or fled the country. A decade later, Sibyl, now Lady Penrith, is travelling along a desolate moor when a crazed man stops her carriage and hands her a scrawled note. Believing the note to be from Mountford, Sibyl sets out to investigate, and with the help of her niece Coralie Urquhart she will uncover the long-hidden truth behind the murder and the horrible fate of Brandon Mountford "Thou Art the Man" (1894) is a thrilling and fast-paced novel of murder and mystery. It is also, as Laurence Talairach-Vielmas discusses in her introduction to this edition, a fascinating look at the ways Braddon adapted late-Victorian theories of heredity, disease, and criminology into her fiction. This edition reprints the unabridged text of the 1895 "yellowback" edition, complete with a facsimile of its cover, and includes a new introduction and explanatory notes. |
