The Soul Of A Tree
The Soul Of A Tree
On his transfer the employee was remaining in an apartment in a flat.
By the side of the apartment a mango tree was present and the employee liked the tree.
In the fullmoon night he will sit by the side of the window and will look to the tree.
The tree was looking beautiful and it gave a great company to the employee in the unknown area.
One day it so happened that the house owner with some workers came to cut the tree.
Fortunately that day the employee was present and he came to know that the tree will be cut.
He vehemently opposed the cutting of the tree, but he was explained by the house owner that the tree is barren.
The employee told the house owner that one day it would bear fruits and took the vow in front of the owner to make the tree bear fruits.
The tree was not cut and all left the place ridiculing the employee.
From that day onwards the employee spent half an hour each morning for the tree.
He loosened the soil, watered the soil and applied minerals that were required.
He became very happy by serving the tree and always expected that one day flowers and fruits will be there on it.
He had taken one year time and one spring was over.
The next spring will be very crucial when the employee will be able to show his powers.
With all love and care he nurtured the tree and developed a tremendous love for it.
He always looked the tree with optimistic eyes and he was realising that the tree was answering his optimism.
The night was silent with fullmoon and stars in the sky.
The employee was able to touch the soul of the tree and communicate with it.
The tree told the sad story of being unloved by the people for not bearing fruits and how all the dirty things were thrown upon him.
He was totally soiled and had lost hope and told the employee that by his care he had got a new life.
The employee became very sad hearing the voice of the soul of the tree.
He became totally silent and still and realised that the tree was understanding his dreams and hopes also.
He also expressed his thoughts infront of the tree and there was mutual sharing of thoughts and ideas.
Both were hopeful that one day all the dreams and hopes of theirs' will be fulfilled.
The spring came again and the employee had palpitration in his hearts.
The tree should bear flowers and fruits other wise the tree will be cut.
He had served the tree all the year round and expected that good results will come.
He had never lost heart and was always optimistic.
That night the employee returned from the office tired and dejected.
The tree was looking beautiful with fullmoon and the blue sky.
He expected that the tree will bear flowers and fruits though half of the winter was gone.
With a great expectation he gave a final look to the tree and slept.
The morning came with a beautiful sun and the birds sang songs.
The employee opened the window and great was his joy when he saw that the entire tree was full of flowers.
The house owner and all other neighbours became happy.
After a few days the tree also bore fruits and the fruits were vary tasty when they became ripe.
Though the employee was transferred to some other place, but the memory of the tree was frozen in his mind like a picture on the screen.
The tree became a mile stone in his life and he acheived his dreams and hopes also.
When ever he goes to the place he gives a visit to the tree.
He becomes very happy seeing the tree and the adjacent clean surroundings and returns with a beautiful memory.

The Tree - $49.99 A family struggling with the loss of a loved one may have found him in a rather unusual place in this drama from writer and director Julie Bertuccelli. Dawn (Charlotte Gainsbourg) is a stay-at-home mother to her four children -- Tim (Christian Byers), Lou (Tom Russell), Simone (Morgana Davies), and Charlie (Gabriel Gotting) -- and a loving wife to her husband, Peter (Aden Young). Peter is out of town on business when he suffers a fatal heart attack; Dawn is emotionally shattered by the news, and isn't sure at first how to get by on her own. The children are supportive to their mom, Tim gets a part-time job to help bring in some extra cash, and Dawn begins working at a plumbing supply store run by kind-hearted George (Marton Csokas), but while they're all trying to move on, they still wish they could have Peter back in their lives. Simone, who is eight, has taken to climbing the big tree in front of the family's house, and she soon explains why to Dawn -- she says she can hear the voice of her father rustling through the leaves. Before long, Simone builds a tree house and spends most of her time listening to her father's phantom voice, and while Dawn understands how she feels, she's not sure how to get her daughter to let go of her father's ghost, especially when Simone reacts poorly to the news that Dawn and George are dating. The Tree was adapted from the novel Our Father Who Art in the Tree by Judy Pascoe. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi |
