I wanted to get my wife something very special for our anniversary. This will be our first anniversary and I just really wanted to express my love and my faith with a great present. I was looking at a lot of white gold jewelry. This is because my wife likes silver better than gold, but I want to give her something of the utmost value. I come across a silver cross necklace, but this isn't quite what I am looking for. I want something of value, but not quite as expensive as the platinum cross necklace I found!
I keep looking. As I am looking I think about my beautiful wife. I think about how strong her faith is and how much I respect her for that. I want to get her something which shows my respect, my love, and my appreciation. I find some very pretty white gold cross earrings, but she already has tons of earrings. So I keep looking.
I finally find what I am looking for--a white gold cross necklace. It is plain, simple, and absolutely beautiful--just like my wife. I am sure she'll love it. I instinctively order it the minute I find it.
Unfortunately, the way that I am, I am completely confident when I purchase the gift, but the time between then and giving it to her I convince myself it was wrong, I fret and worry. What is a white gold cross necklace is not the right thing to get my wife? She deserves the best, is it the best I can do?
So, after making myself sick for two weeks worrying about my wife's reaction to her new white gold cross necklace, I give it to her.
I hold my breath.
She starts crying! Oh my goodness, what have I done? I nearly begin crying as well, I try to comfort her and then she looks at me, and she says,
"Dear, this is the most beautiful white gold cross necklace I have ever seen and I feel blessed to have a husband like you that would think to give it to me."
Okay, good, I can start breathing again, she doesn't hate me...wait she really likes it...wow, I picked something really good for my wife? Well, that's what she says.
I now know that when I am looking to purchase jewelry for my wife, I should always go with my gut instinct. I have known her long enough to know what she likes and she wears that white gold cross necklace daily, so I'm pretty sire I did a good.
Buying jewelry for you wife does not have to a mystery. Find great white gold cross necklace and more at http://whitegoldcrossnecklace.org

Pretty Theft $24.23 Drama / Characters: 3m, 4f Pretty Theft is a play about ballerinas, boxes and the dangers of beauty. After losing her father, Allegra falls under the wing of bad girl Suzy, only to find an unexpected friendship with Joe, an autistic savant. When things take a violent turn, Allegra and Suzy escape cross country and befriend Marco, a mysterious thief who claims he cannot be caught. "Disturbing but touching...Mr. Szymkowicz writes quirky plays about contemporary topics like online dating and gender roles, but there always seems to be something - a knife, a rope, a dead body - in an unexpected place. In Pretty Theft, the undercurrent of danger goes beyond quirkiness; it's more subtle and ultimately more horrifying. The play takes place in a terrifying world where reckless people get hurt, and so do more or less innocent bystanders." -The New York Times "Szymkowicz has not only taken the notion of theft and flipped it on its head - he's taken a story about human beings at their worst and shown how we can claw our way back from the brink by finding the good within ourselves." -The Villager "Adam Szymkowicz has written a play full of interesting people...The dialogue and humor in this play are excellent...It runs a lean, intermission-less 90 minutes and is very satisfying...This would be good theater for young women not only to see but also to perform." -NYTheatre.com |

Pretty Evil $8.32 Three sexy bachelors with big plans. Longtime friends Rice, Coach, and Geffen can't believe it when they see an abandoned property just a stone's throw away from Rodeo Drive -- the dilapidated wreck is more haunted house than Hollywood high life. But when they enter the massive estate with their best friend and realtor Sunnie, they see a great financial investment. A fixer-upper with room for a gym and a sauna. A cavernous hall for swanky celebrity parties. A hideaway for seducing the ladies...in other words, a place to live large and dream big. A foxy she-devil out for revenge. But Sunnie senses all is not right with the house. Turns out it is already occupied by a supernatural vixen who resents the intruders and vows to use her shape-shifting powers to dispatch them -- not with violence but with an equally lethal weapon: sex. Morphing into each man's fantasy lover, she takes them one by one to heights of ecstasy designed to torment their souls. Rich, Young and Pretty - Fullscreen $24.99 Rich, Young and Pretty succinctly describes Jane Powell, the heroine of this frothy MGM musical. Vacationing in Paris with her father, Jim Stauton Rogers (Wendell Corey) -- a cattle baron-turned-politician, Elizabeth Rogers (Powell) falls in love with handsome Andre Milan (Vic Damone, in his film debut). She also learns to her surprise that her Gallic mother, Marie (Danielle Darrieux), is not dead as she's been led to believe, but very much alive and very much involved with suave South American Paul Sarnac (Fernando Lamas). The plot is merely there to provide breathing space for the film's ten -- count 'em, ten -- musical numbers. If Rich, Young and Pretty resembles a Deanna Durbin picture at times, it may because it was produced by Durbin's discoverer, Joseph Pasternak. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi |

PGP: Pretty Good Privacy: Pretty Good Privacy $36.89 Use of the Internet is expanding beyond anyone's expectations. As corporations, government offices, and ordinary citizens begin to rely on the information highway to conduct business, they are realizing how important it is to protect their communications -- both to keep them a secret from prying eyes and to ensure that they are not altered during transmission. Encryption, which until recently was an esoteric field of interest only to spies, the military, and a few academics, provides a mechanism for doing this. PGP, which stands for Pretty Good Privacy, is a free and widely available encryption program that lets you protect files and electronic mail. Written by Phil Zimmermann and released in 1991, PGP works on virtually every platform and has become very popular both in the U.S. and abroad. Because it uses state-of-the-art public key cryptography, PGP can be used to authenticate messages, as well as keep them secret. With PGP, you can digitally "sign" a message when you send it. By checking the digital signature at the other end, the recipient can be sure that the message was not changed during transmission and that the message actually came from you. PGP offers a popular alternative to U.S. government initiatives like the Clipper Chip because, unlike Clipper, it does not allow the government or any other outside agency access to your secret keys. "PGP: Pretty Good Privacy" by Simson Garfinkel is both a readable technical user's guide and a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at cryptography and privacy. Part I, "PGP Overview," introduces PGP and the cryptography that underlies it. Part II, "Cryptography History and Policy," describes the history of PGP -- its personalities, legal battles, and other intrigues; it also provides background on the battles over public key cryptography patents and the U.S. government export restrictions, and other aspects of the ongoing public debates about privacy and free speech. Part III, "Using PGP," describes how to use PGP: protecting files and email, creating and using keys, signing messages, certifying and distributing keys, and using key servers. Part IV, "Appendices," describes how to obtain PGP from Internet sites, how to install it on PCs, UNIX systems, and the Macintosh, and other background information. The book also contains a glossary, a bibliography, and a handy reference card that summarizes all of the PGP commands, environment variables, and configuration variables. |
