Tests, exams, school work as well as well as family/friend issues, sporting commitments and other things filling up your life. You cannot say it can't get stressful. There is that much pressure to do well in school, and even if you do not experience pressure, it can still be stressful (for those wishing to do well afterward anyway). Maybe you dread the school year ahead, maybe you are falling behind in a class or maybe you just can't handle all the work that comes your way. School will probably be one of the most stressful times of your life.
Now, you should know that stress comes from the way you think. Think positively - experience less stress. However, sometimes it can be hard to think positively especially when your head is overcome with thoughts of dread.
You may wonder 'how am I going to get through this?' You may even think you WON'T. But truth is, you will and if get your head stuck in your work, you'll find that the school year will not only go quickly in return, but you will satisfied and that is a great feeling!
It doesn't matter if you don't get perfect A's on every single thing. You have to remember that 'A' is the top score. The TOP. While B is excellent and C is average - meaning it is what MOST people in your year in the population get. So next time you get a 'C' on something, don't think of it as a fail (because it isn't) but think of it as an expected score on that particular task/test/project.
If you are trying your best in school - that is, you are paying attention in class, making notes and dedicated to what you are learning then you have to remind yourself that you are exceptional. Even if you aren't getting top marks, you are trying your best and nobody can ask for more. Not everyone is meant to be an Einstein genius. And that doesn't matter! Because you have knowledge in other areas - for example, you may be good at directions, you may have more common-sense that the top-A students, you have a nicer more appealing personality. Nobody is perfect, but it is about valuing what you DO have! So find something about yourself that is strong and work with that.
You may be thinking 'But I need a top score to get into what I want to do', e.g a doctor. You have to remember that while you DO need a top score, if you don't get it, there are other ways around it. Besides, you may find something else you really enjoy instead! School isn't the be all and end all. A score is nothing more than a number determined by a written TEST. It doesn't measure any other aspect of your self other than your BRAIN.
You need to relax and breath! You are only human. Take time out for yourself, take school day-by-day and have a lot of communication with your family and friends. They are there to support you!
School is only the start. You are going to do well if you try your best! Remember, everyone is going through the same thing. But don't compare yourself to others. Its you that matters.
