Playhouse ideas range from simple to very elaborate and which playhouse plans you choose will depend on a number of factors. Many years ago my wife sent away for some playhouse blueprints with the idea that I would build it for our daughter. I opened the the package and Yikes! They were so complicated and expensive looking that I put them aside and took the family to Yosemite instead. Now my daughter is getting married and I sometimes regret never building that playhouse, but here's what I've learned.
1) Give thought to what you want to build. My wife bought those plans with good intentions but without consulting me. They looked way beyond my skill level and I never even got started. So think - do you want a simple shed like structure with windows? Or are you thinking of a Victorian mansion. Are you looking for creative playhouse ideas like a pirate ship or Tarzan's tree house? Pay attention to your children. What kind of playhouse plans would they like?
2) Will you build from scratch or a kit? Playhouse kits range from cheap plastic toys to very sturdy wooden structures. One thing I've learned about kits is good ones can be very expensive and almost as difficult to build as starting from scratch. There are playhouse plans available that make the process very simple. They will give you material lists and step-by-step directions. One of the problems with the playhouse plans my wife bought was they amounted to little more than an exploded view with hardly any directions at all. Good plans make all the difference in the world.
3) Choose your playhouse plans carefully. That's the greatest lesson I learned. There are lots of pictures and playhouse ideas to be gotten from the Internet, but nothing is as important as good, easy-to-follow plans. We had fun on our vacation that year, but I think her own playhouse would have given my daughter a lot of great childhood memories that she'll never have now.
So, when you're looking for playhouse ideas, be creative but stay practical. Get the kids involved or at least be aware of what they would like. More than anything, use good, step-by-step playhouse plans. Remember, you're not just building a playhouse, you're building memories.

Thoughts, Memories, Consequence $21.05 Thoughts and memories were the rules that they lived by. They were the rules that their head had given them. If they tried to break them they would remind them vividly in their dreams, their nightmares never letting them forget. They were a bad person they knew that, the rules never failing to remind them. They had tried so many times to break them in the last thirty-six years since the first memory became the first rule. Then from nowhere twenty-three years after the last memory had become the last rule their past caught up with them, forcing them to change, to be strong, forcing the rules to change. They won the battle they were still alive but the war was yet to be won. In a place deep within her she cried out for help, she was heard and the strangest string of events was woven. A voice answered a voice she recognized, she trusted it, she listened and went with it. Together they faced the long journey and they began to understand the deceit, the lies, and the untruths that the rules had told them and they began to break them one by one, it was a long road, but their friend gave them courage, courage they didn't know they had until they stared the last rule face to face, eye to eye, and said "NO, we are who we are, you do not own us anymore. We are me we are Chrissie." With a tender kiss and a gentle smile he left them with a friendship never to be forgotten. They woke and silently they began to live her way. They are still learning but thanks to their friend every time she smiles they remember and thank him for giving to them the person she is the person that through him they found, the one who saved them, the one who cared CHRISSIE. |
